COMMUNITY SERVICE

At St. Clare School we offer many opportunities for community service. Children of all ages participate in activities to aide our community. Examples include, but are not limited to collecting food for the homeless, financial contributions to charities and groups, t-shirts for migrant farm workers, safety patrols, altar servers, recyclers to help in classrooms, gifts for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas and Mardi Gras set-up assistance.

Grades six through eight are encouraged to complete at least ten community service hours for a non-profit organization. If they complete over fifty hours in a school year, they qualify for special recognition from the Principal and from the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program.
