SCHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The strategic planning process has led to the appointment of a School Advisory Committee that is charged with implementing and updating the strategic plan. The School Advisory Committee and its subcommittees meet regularly throughout the school year. The subcommittees have been charged with specific responsibilities related to the strategic plan and will be working diligently toward meeting their goals and objective. STRATEGIC PLAN THROUGH 2019

St. Clare’s strategic plan was finalized in the spring of 2015 by the School Advisory Committee (SAC). Over the last three years, the strategic planning committee comprised of administrators, teachers and parents met every six weeks with consultants from Catholic School Management that prepared the groundwork for this plan. This process has resulted in the current mission, vision and philosophy and strategic plan.

Each key result is supported by three required actions and three necessary beliefs. The SAC believes this simplified approach creates a path for results, eliminates distractions and fosters a culture of greater accountability.

MEMBERS

David McAuliffe*
David retired as Managing Director of J.P.Morgan in 2015. He is currently a private investor. He worked for J.P.Morgan Investment Banking in London since 2000 before relocating to Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to J.P.Morgan, David was Chief Operating Officer and co-Head of Investment Banking for Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco and previously, co-Head of Investment Banking and on the Executive Committee at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York City. David earned an MBA from Harvard University in 1974 and a BA from Boston College in 1971. David is currently a Trustee Associate of Boston College. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Boston College, the Irish Advisory Board of University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at The American International University in London and the Board of Trustees of The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. David lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, Ginger, and three children, Jake (19), Ryan (15) and Erin (10).

 

Greg Little*
Gregory, for the last 22 years, has been a business owner in Palm Beach County. He is a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School and Palm Beach Atlantic University, earning a B.S. in Biology.  Greg has a love for all the natural things in Florida, and has enjoyed the outdoors from a young age. His goal is to share his passion and knowledge with his children.

 

Ted Ring
Ted Ring was baptized at St Clare Church. He and his two daughters are alumni, and his oldest daughter teaches first grade at our school. Ted is a past Grand Knight of Santa Maria Council of Knights of Columbus and is very involved in youth activities, and has lead the basketball free throw competition for many years. Ted and his wife, Becky, have contributed countless volunteer hours over the years for our school. In his free time, you will find Ted at the beach or out at sea fishing with his family and friends.

 

Martha Mahoney
Martha Mahoney has been married to her husband Brian for 34 years.  They are parishioners of Saint Clare Catholic Church and are proud natives of North Palm Beach.  They’ve raised three children here, who all attended St. Clare School and Palm Beach Gardens High School.  Martha has been a volunteer at St. Clare for many years as a parent and last year she was onstaff as an assistant in third grade.  This year she will concentrate her efforts on being a member of the School Advisory Council, and supporting Mrs. Kissel as she works along with the staff to keep St. Clare the loving, safe and exceptional school it has always been.

Carolyn Stone
Carolyn Stone has over 25 years of professional experience in recreation, sports management and higher education administration. She also has teaching experience in the elementary, middle and college levels. Currently, she is in her 7th year as the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at Palm Beach Atlantic University.  One of only 40 women in the AD chair for NCAA Division II, Stone has been selected has served as a mentor in the NCAA Pathway Program, a presenter at numerous NCAA and NACDA conferences, a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors Association Division II Board (NACDA D2ADA), the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Board of Directors, MacArthur Beach State Park Board of Directors, and Women Leaders in College Sports. She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Florida. Carolyn and her husband Ed are parents to two sons, Jack and Luke. She is a lifetime member of St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach and volunteers with the Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Family Life. She is a sustaining member and past President of the Jr. League of the Palm Beaches.
